Repairs, Renovations & Structural Works
Timber requires a different level of sensitivity, especially in historic buildings where nothing is perfectly straight or uniform. Our recent church project is a good example — fitting bespoke joinery into handcrafted arches and centuries‑old surfaces demanded templating, shaping and adjusting every component to suit the building, not the other way around. From structural timber repairs and splicing to fine interior joinery, panelling, doors and bespoke fittings, we work with timber in a way that honours its movement, imperfections and long‑term performance.
Stone behaves differently from any other building material, and our work reflects that. We repair, rebuild and adapt stone structures of all kinds — from boundary walls and garden features to structural elements within older properties. Our approach is always fabric‑first: salvaging original stone where possible, using lime‑based methods for breathability, and reinstating details that preserve the character and irregularity of traditional stone construction. Whether the job involves consolidation, reinstatement, landscaping features or structural stone repairs, we work with the material in a way that respects its age, weight and natural variation.

Brickwork forms the backbone of many period properties, and our repairs range from small reinstatements to full façade and feature restorations. A recent project involved restoring a traditional front porch, rebuilding damaged brickwork, reinstating original detailing and completing the space with new tiling laid to match the historic pattern. Whether we’re repairing weathered sections, rebuilding structural areas, matching historic bonds or integrating new brickwork into old, our focus is always on compatibility, proportion and a seamless finish.
